About Mothersense Prenatal+
What is Mothersense™ Prenatal+?
Mothersense™ Prenatal+ is a comprehensive, clinician-formulated prenatal supplement delivered in a single daily sachet. Each sachet contains 950mg choline, methylfolate, full-spectrum omega-3s (DHA + EPA), CoQ10, a gentle chelated mineral complex, and an active B-vitamin blend, designed to support women from preconception through postpartum.
Who formulated Mothersense™ Prenatal+?
Our formula was developed in partnership with healthcare practitioners who specialize in prenatal and perinatal nutrition. Every ingredient, form, and dose was selected based on current peer-reviewed research, and informed by our founder Aimee's personal experience navigating prenatal care as a mom of two.
What makes Mothersense™ different from other prenatals?
Three things set us apart. First, we include 950mg of choline from two complementary forms — most prenatals include little to none. Second, we use only bioavailable nutrient forms (methylfolate, chelated minerals, active B-vitamins) so your body can use them directly. Third, everything comes in a single daily sachet, no separate bottles for omega-3s, choline, or minerals.
Why is Mothersense™ in a sachet format instead of a bottle?
The sachet format allows us to include a comprehensive formula, including omega-3 softgels, mineral capsules, and active nutrient capsules, in one convenient daily serving. It also keeps each day's dose sealed and fresh, making it easy to take on the go or toss in your bag.
Is Mothersense™ FDA approved?
Dietary supplements are not evaluated or approved by the FDA. However, Mothersense™ Prenatal+ is manufactured in an FDA-registered, cGMP-certified facility and every batch is third-party tested for heavy metals, purity, and potency. We voluntarily hold ourselves to the highest manufacturing and testing standards available.
Ingredients & Formulation
Why do you use methylfolate instead of folic acid?
Methylfolate (L-5-MTHF) is the biologically active form of folate: the form your body can use directly without needing to convert it. This is an important distinction because common genetic variations, present in an estimated 40–60% of the population, can affect how efficiently the body converts synthetic folic acid. Methylfolate bypasses that conversion step entirely.
Why does Mothersense™ include 950mg of choline?
Choline plays a central role in fetal brain development, neural tube formation, and placental function. The American Medical Association recognized it as essential for prenatal health in 2017, yet most prenatal supplements include very little or none at all. We include 950mg from two forms (CDP-Choline and Phosphatidylcholine) reflecting what current research suggests is a meaningful daily amount.
Why doesn't Mothersense™ include iron?
We leave iron out intentionally. Iron needs vary widely from person to person, and supplemental iron can interfere with the absorption of other key nutrients like calcium, zinc, and magnesium. Iron can also cause digestive discomfort for many women. We believe your healthcare provider is the best guide for whether — and how much — supplemental iron is right for you.
What are chelated minerals, and why do you use them?
Chelated minerals are minerals that have been bound to an organic compound like an amino acid or organic acid, which may improve absorption and reduce stomach discomfort. Our formula uses dimagnesium malate, dicalcium malate, and selenium glycinate, rather than cheaper oxide or carbonate forms, to help improve energy.
What does "bioavailable" mean?
Bioavailability refers to how effectively your body can absorb and use a nutrient. A nutrient can be present in a formula, but if it's in a form your body struggles to process, it may not deliver the full benefit. We select nutrient forms specifically for their bioavailability, like methylfolate over folic acid, and chelated minerals over oxides.
Do you use any proprietary blends?
No, never. Every ingredient and its exact dose is listed on our label. Proprietary blends group multiple ingredients under a single total weight, which means you can't know how much of each nutrient is actually included. We believe in full transparency: if it's in the sachet, you should know exactly how much.
Who It's For & When to Take It
When should I start taking Mothersense™ Prenatal+?
Ideally, at least 3 months before you begin trying to conceive. Building up nutrient reserves, especially folate and choline, before pregnancy gives your body a strong foundation. That said, it's beneficial at any stage: preconception, during pregnancy, and through postpartum and breastfeeding.
Can I take Mothersense™ while breastfeeding?
Yes. Our formula includes nutrients that support postpartum recovery and breastfeeding, including choline, B-vitamins, omega-3s, and vitamin D. Many healthcare practitioners recommend continuing a comprehensive prenatal for at least 6–12 months after delivery, and longer if breastfeeding.
Can I take Mothersense™ if I'm not trying to conceive?
Yes. Many women of reproductive age take a prenatal as their daily multivitamin because the formula is more comprehensive than a standard women's multi. If you're not actively planning a pregnancy, we recommend checking with your healthcare provider to make sure it's a good fit for your individual needs.
When is the best time of day to take it?
We recommend taking your sachet with a full meal, ideally in the morning or at lunch. Taking it with food supports absorption of fat-soluble vitamins (like vitamin D and omega-3s) and is gentler on the stomach. If you find a specific mealtime works best for you, consistency is more important than the exact time.
Can I take Mothersense™ alongside other supplements?
Mothersense™ Prenatal+ is designed to be comprehensive so you don't need to piece together multiple products. If you're currently taking separate supplements for choline, omega-3s, or a multivitamin, you likely won't need them alongside Mothersense. However, always consult your healthcare provider before making changes, especially if you're taking prescription medications or additional iron.
Is it safe to take during all trimesters?
Our formula is designed to support women from preconception through all three trimesters and into the postpartum period. As with any supplement, we recommend consulting your healthcare provider, especially if you have a medical condition, are taking medications, or have specific nutritional needs.
Safety & Quality
Is Mothersense™ third-party tested?
Yes. Every batch is independently tested for heavy metals (arsenic, cadmium, mercury, and lead), microbial contamination, and label accuracy — meaning we verify that what's on the label matches what's in the sachet. We also test for identity, purity, strength, and composition.
Where is Mothersense™ manufactured?
Mothersense™ Prenatal+ is proudly manufactured in the United States in an FDA-registered, cGMP-certified facility. cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) is the same quality standard required for pharmaceutical products.
Is Mothersense™ free from common allergens?
Our formula is free from gluten and dairy. It does contain soy (per our supplement facts panel). If you have a specific allergy concern, please review the full ingredient label or contact us directly.
Can Mothersense™ cause nausea or stomach upset?
Our formula is designed to be gentle. We use chelated minerals and include our nutrients across multiple capsules within the sachet to support digestion. That said, some women experience mild sensitivity when starting a new prenatal, particularly in the first trimester. Taking the sachet with a full meal typically helps. If sensitivity persists, consult your healthcare provider.
I have a medical condition. Should I take Mothersense™?
We always recommend consulting your healthcare provider before starting any new supplement — especially if you have a medical condition, are on prescription medications, or have specific dietary restrictions. Our formula is clinician-informed, but your provider knows your individual health needs best.

Label & Transparency
Where can I see the full supplement facts panel?
The complete supplement facts, including every ingredient, form, and exact dose, are available on our product page. We believe in full label transparency, so you'll find everything you need to make an informed decision right there.
What research supports your formulation?
Every ingredient, form, and dose in our formula is informed by published, peer-reviewed research. We cite specific studies for each hero ingredient on our Science page, including work from the FASEB Journal, American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, Xenobiotica, and Aging Cell, among others.
How do I know the label is accurate?
Every batch undergoes third-party testing that verifies the identity, potency, and purity of each ingredient. This means an independent lab confirms that what's listed on our label — every nutrient, every dose — is exactly what's inside the sachet. No proprietary blends, no hidden ingredients, no guesswork.
