Why Mothersense™
Everything you need. Nothing you don't. One daily sachet.
Most prenatals force you to choose between completeness and quality. Mothersense™ Prenatal+ was formulated so you never have to compromise.
Advanced Bioavailable Folate
We use methylfolate (5-MTHF), the active form of folate your body can use directly. Designed for the estimated 40% of women whose bodies prefer active folate forms that bypass the standard enzymatic conversion pathway.
950mg Choline
The AMA recommends choline in all prenatals, yet most brands include little or none. We provide 950mg from citicoline and phosphatidylcholine.*
Truly All-In-One
Omega-3 DHA+EPA, CoQ10, methylated B-complex, chelated minerals, and more. No separate fish oil. No add-on bottles. No guesswork.
Gentle on Your Stomach
Chelated minerals (like dimagnesium malate and zinc bisglycinate) are designed for better absorption and less digestive discomfort than oxide forms.
Research-Backed Doses
Every ingredient is included at a dose supported by clinical evidence, with links to published studies below.
Sachet Format
Each daily sachet is pre-portioned with capsules and softgels. Tear, take, done. Travels easily.
The Science Inside
Every ingredient earns its place.
Clinician-formulated. Evidence-based doses. Bioavailable forms. Here's what's in every sachet and why it matters.
950 mg · CITICOLINE + Phosphatidylcholine
Choline
Choline is recognized as essential for neural tube formation and fetal brain development. The American Medical Association has recommended its inclusion in all prenatal supplements. Most pregnant women consume well below the Adequate Intake of 450mg/day. We provide 950mg from two bioavailable sources.*
Research: Maternal Choline & Fetal Brain Development — Systematic Review & Meta-Analysis (PMID: 36041182) · Choline Supplementation in Pregnancy: Current Evidence (PMID: 38074049) · Prenatal Choline & Child Sustained Attention — 7-Year RCT Follow-up (PMID: 34962672)
400 mcg · as 5-Methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF)
Methylfolate (Active Folate)
Methylfolate is the biologically active form of folate that does not require enzymatic conversion. Using 5-MTHF bypasses this conversion step entirely, ensuring reliable folate delivery for neural tube development.*

DHA + EPA · Omega-3 Fatty Acids
Full-Spectrum Omega-3s
DHA is a major structural fat in the fetal brain and retina. EPA supports maternal cardiovascular health and healthy inflammatory response. Both are included so you don't need a separate fish oil supplement.*
Most prenatals include DHA only (or none at all). Mothersense includes both DHA and EPA for comprehensive omega-3 support.
100 mg · as Ubiquinone
Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10)
CoQ10 is a key component of mitochondrial energy production. A 2024 systematic review of 6 RCTs (1,529 participants) found CoQ10 pretreatment was associated with significantly improved clinical pregnancy rates and higher numbers of quality embryos in women with diminished ovarian reserve.*
Research: CoQ10 & IVF/ICSI Outcomes — Systematic Review & Meta-Analysis of 6 RCTs (PMID: 39129455) · CoQ10 Improves Ovarian Response in Young Women with DOR — RCT (PMC5870379)
Active Forms · Methylcobalamin, R5P + more
Methylated B-Complex
Vitamin B6 as pyridoxal and B12 as methylcobalamin — the active, coenzyme forms your body uses directly. No synthetic cyanocobalamin or pyridoxine HCl that require additional conversion steps.*
Full spectrum: B1 (Thiamine HCl), B2 (Riboflavin-5-Phosphate), B3 (Niacinamide), B5 (Pantothenic Acid), B6 (Pyridoxal), B7 (Biotin), B12 (Methylcobalamin), plus Vitamins C and E.
Chelated Forms · Bisglycinate & Citrate
Gentle Mineral Complex
Dimagnesium malate, dicalcium malate, zinc bisglycinate, selenium, iodine, and more — chelated to amino acids for improved absorption and reduced GI discomfort compared to oxide forms commonly found in mass-market prenatals.*
Iron is intentionally excluded. Iron needs vary significantly between individuals and can reduce absorption of other minerals. Consult your healthcare provider for personalized iron guidance.

Frequently Asked
The Adequate Intake for choline during pregnancy is 450mg/day, and most pregnant women only get about 300mg from diet alone. Yet the vast majority of prenatals contain 0–55mg. We provide 950mg because research shows higher maternal choline intake (up to ~930mg/day) is associated with improved child sustained attention in a 7-year RCT follow-up (PMID: 34962672). Our dose helps bridge the significant gap between dietary intake and evidence-supported levels.
Folic acid is synthetic and must be converted through several enzymatic steps before your body can use it. A significant portion of the population (an estimated 40%) has reduced capacity to complete this conversion efficiently. 5-Methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF) is the biologically active form that bypasses this conversion entirely, so your body can use it directly regardless of individual variation.
Iron is excluded by design. Iron needs vary dramatically between individuals: some women are anemic and need high-dose supplementation while others have adequate stores. Iron also competes with calcium, zinc, and magnesium for absorption, and is a leading cause of prenatal nausea. Your healthcare provider can test your ferritin levels and recommend the right type and dose specifically for you.
Ideally, at least 3 months before conception. Neural tube closure happens at approximately 4 weeks gestation, often before you know you're pregnant. Building adequate folate and choline stores takes time. Mothersense is formulated for TTC, pregnancy, and postpartum/nursing.
CoQ10 is essential for mitochondrial energy production in every cell, including oocytes (eggs). A 2024 systematic review and meta-analysis of 6 randomized controlled trials found that CoQ10 pretreatment was significantly associated with improved clinical pregnancy rates (OR = 1.84) and higher numbers of quality embryos in women with diminished ovarian reserve. It's increasingly recommended by reproductive endocrinologists, especially for women over 35 or undergoing IVF.
Yes. Mothersense is formulated for use throughout TTC, all three trimesters, and postpartum/nursing. All ingredients are at doses within established safe upper limits for pregnancy. As always, share your full supplement list with your healthcare provider.
We specifically chose chelated mineral forms (bisglycinate, citrate) instead of oxides because they're known for significantly better GI tolerance. We also excluded iron, which is the number one cause of prenatal nausea and constipation. Take with food for best results.
